Hoop Jam

Hula hoop dance event

All levels and backgrounds are welcome to our first hoop jam! Hooping is a wonderful form of exercise and creative expression of dance. This event is a jam which is like an open gym session; so primarily student-led, but our resident hoop artist, Lotus, will be here to answer questions and assist students.

We will have some hoops available for rental, but there is no guarantee that the hoops available will be ideal for you. We recommend that you bring your own. We have partnered with The Spinsterz to bring you a discount for any hoops bought with them. Just use code LOTUS for 10% off. (The Spinsterz may have some limitations on the discount code, i.e. does not stack with other discounts/sales)

Lotus recommends purchasing a Beginner Fitness Hoop to start. If you are having trouble deciding between sizes, check out the 2 in 1 Trainer hoop, as this option allows you to switch between two sizes to create space for different hoop flow. Once you are ready to advance your flow, we recommend moving into a "Grow with your Flow" polypro hoop to dive into your journey of hoop dance!
